    Self Catering Mulranny. Mulranny selfcatering cottages are situated on the narrow strip of land which runs between the mountains and the north shores of Clew Bay. The area has a rich history which is reflected in its many relics of bygone centuries.

    The area is a haven for Anglers where Clew Bay provides for deep sea and shore angling. Its large range of species include mackerel, pollock, cod and skate. Boats are readily available. Fresh water angling is also catered for with the Owengarve river and lakes Furnace and Feeagh.

    The Great Western Greenway is a 17.5km off-road trail that links Newport and Mulranny. The trail mainly follows the track of the famous Newport to Mulranny railway which was closed in 1937. The Greenway is the longest off-road cycling and walking trail in Ireland and allows users to see some of the most idyllic scenery in the west of Ireland.

    The property is located 7 miles from Newport on the main Mulranny road. When you come to a sign Self Catering Holiday Homes turn left.

    Self Catering Caherdaniel. Perfectly located for holidaying in the Derrynane / Caherdaniel area, the houses are just ten minutes walk from Derrynane Beach and Derrynane Historical House and Gardens.

    Caherdaniel & Castlecove are tiny villages set in dramatic scenery. The uniqueness of the location provides a great selection of activities available to the visitor from hiking to watersports but there is also the wonderful Derrynane House and National Park waiting to be discovered too!

    Caherdaniel and Castlecove are located on the shores of Derrynane Bay which gives its name to the surrounding area. The bay is a renowned centre for all types of Watersports – swimming, diving, kayaking, canoeing, surfing, water-skiing, wakeboarding and of course, sailing.

    The area is rich in cultural history too with Derrynane House and National Park, home of Daniel OConnell The Liberator (1775-1847), Staigue Fort and the Old Abbey.

    Derrynane has much to offer the nature lover too – from natural rock pools and sandy coves to natterjack toads, migratory birds and wildflowers and the diverse landscape offers both gentle strolls and hiking trails – it will be your choice! Derrynane House has a very useful Nature Trail booklet for those who wish to really explore the National Park and surrounding area.

    The stone fort of Cathair Donal (c 600 B.C) is what gave Caherdaniel its name and this can be found on The Kerry Way famous walking trail which is to the north of the village. The Kerry Way is the longest and one of the most scenic hiking trails in Ireland and its well worth exploring at least part of it. The trail is divided up into manageable sections and route maps are available to help you plan your walk.

    Self Catering Heir Island. Nearest beach five minutes walking distance. There are 26 beaches around the island to relax and unwind on.The island is easily walked and cycled and there are many safe sandy beaches and strands ideal for sailing, windsurfing, swimming and diving. The centre of the island has an extensive marsh with a vibrant and colorful reed bed where youll find many unusual birds as well as over 200 varieties of wild flower.

    You will find a lot of wild and unusual birds on the island such as the cuckoo and corncrake. These birds fill the island with colorful sounds and can be heard all around. It is a joy to wake up to the sound of the cuckoo singing. Artists and photographers come from miles around to derive inspiration from the spectacular views and sounds.

    Heir Island is located on the south west coast of west cork in Ireland (Eire). Heir Island is one of Carberys Hundred Isles that lie scattered throughout Roaringwater Bay. The island is beautifully located, surrounded by a panorama of Sherkin Island, Cape Clear, the Calf Islands, The East and West Skeams, and Mount Gabriel to the North. Cunamore point is the destination for ferries from a range of some of the most beautiful locations in west cork including Heir Island. You can also get the ferry to Heir Island from Baltimore and Cunamore Point is just 12 km from Skibbereen and just 120 km from Cork.

    Rockcrest is situated on an elevated site on the main Killarney road to Kenmare, overlooking the old St. Clare’s Convent and church. It has mature grounds and lawn, patio garden furniture and a private car park with gate. The house was completely renovated in 1999.
