214 – Leitrim Quay Self Catering Ireland Leitrim

Self Catering in Ireland. Leitrim Quay is a 3 bedroom self catering holiday home in the heart of Leitrim Village. The house can sleep up to six people in 3 bedrooms, one of which is en-suite. In the lounge, the large open fireplace to enjoy while you watch television. There is electric storage heating available should you require it. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, and tumble dryer. The home has a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom upstairs, two twin-bedrooms, a second bathroom as well as the kitchen-diner that are downstairs. The kitchen-diner has a high wooden ceiling – giving it a feeling of air and space.

Each house is rented with a 7m (23ft) cruiser. These day boats are ideal for fishing and exploring the many nearby waterways. They are powered by a 25 horse power diesel inboard engine and are supplied with life-jackets and charts. All boats have a cabin and a small galley with cooker. Perfect for a riverside picnic. Full demonstration and instructions given.

Leitrim Village and with it Leitrim Quay lies at the heart of a beautiful and yet still unspoiled countryside with the possibilities of mountain walking, horse riding, sight seeing, memorable socialising and of course there is the boating and fishing! Our nearest two golf courses are in Ballinamore and Carrick on Shannon. I am sure you will find all the ingredients for an excellent holiday.

Boating to Drumshanbo which has an amenity area with open air swimming-pool (part of the way can be walked beside canal while the other party might be driving the boat) as well as a riding school. Boating to Lough Key with its Forest Park and big child play area as well as of course beautiful gardens. Boating or Walking to Battlebridge for an Evening or Lunch – private Marina and Child play area. Boating or Driving to Carrick on Shannon visit Town and swimming-pool/sport centre. Horse and Pony riding in the village.

Walking along the canal or the “Miners way” a signposted walk around the Arigna Mountains and Lough Allen and visiting the Arigna Windmills to see one of the most magnificent views of Ireland. Short drive to Swan island Open Farm at Ballinamore as well as Tullyboy animal farm near Boyle. Book in at the Adventure-Centre at Lough Allen.
