Huntsmans Lodge Self Catering is a unique 4 star self catering holiday rental located just 4km from the angling town of Cootehill in County Cavan. The two storey house is very spacious and was built in 1954 by the famous huntsman Pat McBride. It was recently renovated but still manages to retain the original features and traits.
The home has five bedrooms and all of them have en suite facilities as well as 1 other Bathroom. The garden is beautifully landscaped and the premises also has a fruit filled orchard as well as a secluded walk through a forest to a crystal clear lake. The house is comfortable and child friendly yet not overwhelming, there is special attention to creating cosy and intimates areas such as the living area with its wonderful open fire.
Huntsman Lodge is in the beautiful drumlin landscape of County Cavan. A trip to Cootehill offers a variety of outdoor pursuits such as angling and water sports. Cohaw Court Cairn is an interesting and historical burial site located just outside the town. Why not enjoy a relaxing picnic or invigorating walk in the lush green surroundings of Dun a Ri Forest Park. There is no shortage of lively pubs and the local cuisine is a feast for the senses.
