These country cottages are set in the unique Burren landscape in Co. Clare, Ireland. They are well equipped and conveniently located. Whether you require a relaxed break or an action filled adventure, you won’t be disappointed.

4 luxury 6 berth self catering country cottages offering spectacular views of Galway Bay, the Burren and the Connemara mountains are available to rent all year round. The interiors are all tastefully decorated and fitted with modern appliances. The sitting rooms with open fires spread a warm atmosphere of comfort and relaxation.

The Burren in County Clare is one of the most unusual landscapes to be found in Ireland. The limestone mountains are largely denuded of soil, so the landscape is composed of cracked, fissured, incredably weathered grey rock. The Burren has often been described as a lunar landscape. The Ailwee Caves have been operating as an attraction for several years now.

This mountainous patch of west Clare is bounded by Galway Bay on the north, the Atlantic Ocean with the Aran Islands to the west. There are several large hill-top cairns on the summits along Galway Bay, including Sliabhcarran, Turlough Mountain and Blackhead, which looks out across the Atlantic. There is a great number of early and medieval Christian sites in the region, which includes a fine collection of high crosses at Kilfenora. Churches and holy wells are widespread throughout the Burren.
