Mellottes self catering is a beautiful self catering accommodation on the shores of Lough Corrib in the west of Ireland.

Located in Cornamona, it is an ideal base for touring Connemara, with Galway City, Clifden, Westport, Castlebar all within 30 miles, and Cong, famous for Ashford Castle, is only 7 miles.

Cornamona is a small but beautiful village situated at the gateway of Connemara on the shores of Lough Corrib. Nestling snugly in the mountains, it is an ideal place to take a break from it all and relax, but also enjoy several of the amenities.

There are many golf courses nearby. Hill walking here is a dream and as for fishing, Lough Corrib is probably the cleanest lake in Europe. Trout and pike fishing on the lake is free; there is a fee for salmon fishing which can be paid locally.

Cornamonas local pub is an ideal place where you can mingle with the locals, enjoy a pint or two or three of creamy Guinness, sing a song and dance a step if you so wish.

Mellottes self catering is a tastefully decorated two bedroomed apartment with all modern conveniences. One bedroom has two single beds, the other has a double bed. We also have a sofa bed and a babys cot can be supplied.

We supply bed linen at no extra charge. The bathroom is small but adequate and equipped with an electric shower. Cooking is by gas. We also have a TV and VCR with a good supply of videos.

The garden is big enough to kick a ball in and there is also a shed which you can use to store bicycles, fishing equipment etc.
