The White House | Description

The White House is a beautiful 5 bedroomed home located 1 mile west of Kilcrohane village with views of Dunmanus Bay from the south and the hill of Suifinn to the north.

The house is attached to one of the villages famous bars 'The White House Bar', which is now closed but guests can have the full use of the Bar but you will have to bring your own drinks. The bar has had many famous musicians playing such as Christy Moore and The Hot House Flowers.

The house itself is very traditional dating back to the 1880's. The house has a dishwasher, washing machine, hair dryer, oven, microwave and 3g broadband is also available upon request.

It also has a spacious back yard which is perfect for social gatherings such as a barbeque. Small pets are very welcome to the home.

With the sea less than one mile away, a fresh dip in the morning to awaken the senses or a swim in the evening, Im sure would not go astray as there are plenty of amenities in the surrounding areas.

Kilcrohane has recently won a European award for one of the best walks in Europe 'The Sheeps Head Way Walk' and the White House is centrally located to several different walking trails for people to choose from, whether you want a walk on one of the hills with breath taking views of the 3 West Cork Peninsulas, or a walk through the local farmers fields, engulfing the local heritage as well as the local wildlife.

Kilcrohane itself has 2 bars which have regular music at the weekends and more sessions throughout the week in the summer, a shop which is combined into a post office, a wine bar, a cafe and a restaurant! It also has a church which mass is held in every Sunday by the local parish priest.

Bantry town is only a 20 minute drive away. So why not take a trip down west to see what Kilcrohane has to offer, you certainly won't be disappointed.
